Description
When it comes to perfumes, certain scent profiles are often better suited to different seasons. For example, citrusy fragrances tend to perform well in summer, while warm and sensual scents, such as vanilla, are typically favoured in winter.
He Wore Fig in Autumn reflects Joshua and Izak’s wish for cooler weather in Singapore. Featuring key notes of fig, vanilla, and amber, they initially assumed the fragrance would be best suited for winter. However, testing revealed that it performed surprisingly well in Singapore’s climate, inspiring the inclusion of “Autumn” in the scent’s name, a middle ground between summer and winter.
At launch, they initially believed the fragrance would be masculine, yet it was warmly received by many women. This led to naming it He Wore Fig in Autumn, highlighting its unisex appeal. The phrase “He Wore Fig” can be interpreted in two ways: literally, as a man wearing a fig-scented perfume, or figuratively, as a fond memory of a man from a woman’s perspective.

About Epilogue
Founded in 2024, Epilogue is a contemporary Singaporean fragrance house that crafts scents as studies of place, memory, and lived experience. Inspired by everyday moments, each perfume is composed from scratch as a self-contained narrative, translating familiar sights and smells, fleeting moments, mundane routines, everyday objects, and emotional landscapes into modern fine fragrance.
Approaching perfumery through a distinct lens, Epilogue weaves literature and storytelling into every composition, creating scents that unfold like chapters and settle with quiet resolve. It is an insistence that the closing note carries as much significance as the slow unfolding that precedes it, designed for those who understand that how a story ends is just as important as how it begins.
